Marwell Zoo is one of the UK's leading wildlife conservation attractions, welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors annually across its extensive estate of animal habitats, visitor facilities, operational buildings, roadways and perimeter areas.

The Challenge
As the site continued to evolve, Marwell Zoo identified opportunities to improve the effectiveness of its existing CCTV infrastructure. Advances in surveillance technology presented an opportunity to enhance visibility, improve monitoring capabilities and reduce reliance on manpower-intensive security measures.
The Zoo required a solution that would:
- Improve CCTV coverage across critical areas of the site.
- Enhance image quality and incident investigation capabilities.
- Increase operational visibility for security and management teams.
- Reduce reliance on physical patrols where appropriate.
- Deliver long-term operational efficiencies without compromising security.
- Ensure protection of visitors, staff, animals and assets at all times.
The Solution
Following a comprehensive site assessment, Veritech designed and delivered a programme of CCTV upgrades and system optimisation works tailored to the Zoo's operational requirements. All works were carefully planned and delivered to minimise disruption to visitors, staff and day-to-day Zoo operations.
