Setting New Standards with In-House BSI Standards Training

At Veritech Systems, we believe that industry leadership begins with knowledge and education. That’s why our internal training team is hard at work developing BSI (British Standards Institution) training plans, designed to bring top-tier expertise to our management teams. These plans focus on BS7499 (security guarding), BS7958 (CCTV operations), and BS7984 (key holding and response). This move is not only about equipping our team with the highest standards in the security industry but also addressing the gap in quality training available industry-wide.

Our training team, fully certified and experienced, is building a program that ensures our leaders are well-versed in these essential standards. As part of our “Lead by Example” ethos, Veritech is committed to setting the benchmark for security training in the industry. With this mindset, we’re planning to extend our training courses to other ACS (Approved Contractor Scheme) accredited security companies in the near future, offering advanced educational opportunities to raise the bar across the sector.

Why We’re Taking Action
The decision to develop these internal training plans was driven by the recognition of a gap in available training that meets these specific BSI standards. While the security industry continues to evolve, there has been a notable shortage of accessible, high-quality training programs that address the complexities of security guarding, CCTV monitoring, and key holding. Veritech has stepped up to fill that gap, ensuring that our management teams—and soon other companies—can benefit from structured, standards-based education.

Stuart Wright: Leading the Charge
Heading up the training department is Stuart Wright, Veritech’s Health & Safety Director. Stuart brings a wealth of experience and expertise, holding several training qualifications from top organisations, including the MOD, Hampshire Police, SITO, and the broader Security Industry. His leadership ensures that Veritech’s training programs will not only meet but exceed industry standards.
