Global Asbestos Awareness Week (1st–7th April)

This Global Asbestos Awareness Week 01–07 April 2026, we’re proud to support IOSH in raising awareness of the ongoing risks associated with asbestos and the importance of protecting workers everywhere.

Despite being banned in many countries, asbestos remains one of the biggest occupational health threats, causing thousands of preventable illnesses every year. Awareness, education, and proper management are key to saving lives.

Let’s use this week to:

• Recognise the risks
• Promote safe working practices
• Ensure compliance and responsibility across all industries

Here at Veritech we recognise how important asbestos safety is for our staff and provide asbestos awareness training, include it in all surveys and have our own asbestos management plan.
