Building a Culture, Not Just a Compliance Checklist

When Stuart joined Veritech 10 years ago, health and safety for many companies was still seen primarily through the lens of “tick-box compliance”. Over the past decade, Stuart has helped transform that mindset at Veritech into something much more powerful: a genuine culture of safety.
Under Stuart’s leadership, health and safety has become:

• Proactive, not reactive – focusing on prevention, near-miss reporting, and continuous improvement.
• Owned by everyone – from senior leadership to frontline teams on site.
• Embedded in how we operate – influencing our training, our processes, our technology, and our strategic decisions.

He hasn’t just enforced rules; he’s inspired responsibility. That’s a very different – and much harder – job.
